Tom is a recently retired civil servant having worked nearly 40 years as a teacher and employee for the State of Florida. About 12 years ago he renewed his interest in photography and meets weekly with a group of like-minded nature and wildlife photographers.
The group includes a number of professional and semi-professional photographers, as well as many amateur and intermediate members interested in improving their skills.
Free digital photography classes are offered periodically along with weekly photo safaris to the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge (SMNWR) and other local photography hotspots in the North Florida/South Georgia area. Areas of concentration are diverse and include: landscape, wildlife, and macro photography. The SMNWR is one of our country’s premier refuges.
Tom’s goal with this web site is to share his joy of nature photography and to continue to improve his skills, as well as encourage others to take up the camera and to preserve our wild places.
Enjoy!
